New Year, New Blogs!

It’s far too late for me to wish you all a happy new year, but since I was apparently too busy over the past month stuffing my face with cookies, cookies, and more cookies, I’ll go ahead and say:

HAPPY 2019!

I’ll argue that it’s never too late to wish someone a happy year. I’ll also argue that you can never consume too many cookies. Especially when they’re warm.

I’ll just have one or seven.

If I’m being honest, 2018 was not my most prolific year as a blogger, but a fresh new page on the calendar is the perfect chance for a new beginning. I have so much bookish gushing coming your way, with new novels to review, childhood favorites to reminisce over, and yes, even the return of our dreamy Literary Hunk of the Month. If you’re here for the Outlander Superlatives, never fear. I’ll be recapping the best of the best and the JAMMFiest of the JAMMF from the backlog of season four episodes that I’ve yet to cover. I’m also working on a new look for the site, which could take two days or two years, depending on how often I have to stop to tell Ollie the intern to stop eating my books.

Who, me??

We discussed it in his performance review and he is diligently working on it. Having said that, I did think it necessary to add another intern to the team, and so far my niece is doing a bang-up job of keeping things in order over in our Southwest chapter. Nepotism didn’t get her the job. It was entirely her passion for The Poky Little Puppy.

Ready for a promotion.

Finally, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m now an official Tall Poppy blogger! If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ve probably heard me sing the praises of the Tall Poppy Writers and their awesome Facebook group, Bloom. Now, you can look forward to even more Tall Poppy titles featured here on Book Perfume. I’m beyond excited to spread all kinds of Poppy love in 2019.

I promise I will not eat the Tall Poppy books!

I’ll be back later this week with a review of a book I can’t wait for you to read, and in the meantime, I hope you’ll check out what Ollie and I have been up to over on Instagram! (And if you’re just interested  in what Ollie’s been up to—and I can’t say I blame you—you can follow him @ollietwistthebeagle!)

Until then, happy reading, bookworms!
